Stop! Kay basi maguba ang pamilya sang lalaki okon maguba ang banggirahan mo” this was the line which was repeatedly heard this Thursday on iFM comfort room. The program started on the dot today as hosts Stanley and Cocoy came excited to get the program started right away. A text message was sent to Stan’s cell phone by a lady they called Ms. C, she can’t bear hear feelings anymore towards a disc jockey in one of the radio stations whose name was not mentioned. Sad thing though , because the dj is already married and a father of two. The hosts were shocked with what the texter said for they may be the ones she’s fallen in love with. “sin o ayhan na nga dj man?” Cocoy laughingly said. “basi ikaw na Coy?” Stanley answered back. “Indi guro diri sa aton ah, kay wala man di sa aton station lalaki nga dj nga kasado na” Cocoy happily replied, followed by his trademark thunderous laughter. The phone was hot throughout the program, “pangita na lang ka iban nga higugma on kay pareho lang na nga nag kuha ka bato kag gin pukpuk mo sa ulo mo” one caller said. A former dj called up and gave his advice to Ms. C .”I was a former dj, and it is just but normal sometimes if your listener’s will fall for you, for they look up to you as their idol and friend. We just have to be responsible in our actions” he said. He continued by saying, “You guys (Cocoy & Stanley) are my coffee break, I congratulate you for having a program who doesn’t only help but make people laugh with your antics. Cocoy and Stanley were surprised with what the other callers reactions when Stanley said “ok lang sa amon nga ara lang kami ya sa ulihi basta maka pakadlaw kami kag makabulig”. “indi ah. Para sa amon ya kamo ang number 1”. The hosts were flattered by what they’ve been hearing from their callers. Cocoy kept on asking “diin ni nag halin nga estorya sige sila ya pangaway para mag number one ta Stan man?”. Surely it was another happy episode of iFM comfort room. One caller even requested to extend the program until 4 pm. Of course the hosts were quick to say “basta ikaw ma bayad sg amon overtime ha?”. Season one of iFM comfort room is about to end this August 29, season 2 will start September 1 with some changes, watch out for that. Pwede! Sjd

It was a mouth watering Wednesday on iFM comfort room as hosts Cocoy and Stanley were surprised by their big boss Jopy San Juan with a Chowking lunch, Team ifm was complete during that time as sexy dj Jasmine led the prayer before bounty. While having a mouthful the program continued as Stanley read the text message he received, a gay named Alvin asked for advices. He met Carmelo in a mall at the downtown area, they became friends and got a long very well, one time he told Carmelo what he feels towards him. He was badly hurt though, as Carmelo rejected him by saying “may asawa na ko ya kag isa pa wala ko ga patol sa pareho ko nga lalaki” after hearing this from the guy he loves, it seemed like heaven fell over him.

Advices poured over Alvin, majority of them said “pangita ka na lang iban kay wala na luyag ang tawo sa imo, wala lang pilitay ah, kay basi ano pa himu on ni Carmelo sa imo.”
Cocoy with a grin in his face added “ma anu kamo ma espadahay!” Stanley on the other hand jokingly said, “mayu lang kay wala ka gin sabat niya nga , ay ! bading ka man? Pareho ta!”

Arbie a son of a “palautang” mother called up and shared his problem. He is married with a child, his wife works as cashier in of the sugar mills in the province. Problem is he has been hearing from other people that his mom has debts with so many people and she is already the meat of the talks in their baranggay. Arbie relates that her mom though can afford to pay all her debts. A caller said; respect your mom for you came from her and if she’s been doing that for years now, accept her for maybe she’s doing that not only for herself but for your whole family.otehrs even scolded Arbie, “nga a gina problemahan mo gid na si nanay mo ya, pagustuhi na lang na sya kay tigulang na kag wala ya man ka ginapa bayad sg mga kautangan ya!” they said. After hearing all the beatings, the program hosts invited Arbie to call the station to defend himself and clarify things.

The afternoon’s discussion was very hot but as usual full of laughter. Expect non-stop laughter when iFM comfort room invades the airwaves every 1-3pm on 94.3 ifm Pwede!

Tuesday on iFM comfort room, August 5, 2008. It was a day full of preparations for the hosts Cocoy and Stanley as they came in their expensive suits, the guys were advised to come to the program dressed to kill for there will be a photo shoot session that will be conducted by an independent magazine publisher. Excitement filled the booth when the program started.

First caller was July, she shared the problem of her friend who works as a club dancer in goldenfields. Ara the name of the said lady is married with three kids the youngest is one year and a half, her husband named Jojo is an irresponsible husband and father to her kids. He doesn’t provide for the family, all that he knows is to get drunk with his friends.
Ara seemed to have lost her love for her husband because of what he’s been doing lately, the catch is that, Ara has a suitor named Eduard a jeepney driver, she said she’s fallen in loved with the guy and added that he is willing to accept Ara and her kids, but Eduard is also married and has a child.

Most of the listeners suggested that Ara concentrates her attention to her kids and forget about Eduard, for she’s not sure if the guy will love her kids. Others added that she gives her husband a chance to change for it will be best for her kids to have a father as they grow and have a complete family.

A very quick turn events occurred when Ms. Tina the team leader of Mister Donuts Lacson and her companion Mitch entered the room with a box of the company’s new product the choco trio, they heard during the hosts adlibs that they want to try the new product for them to promote, for they can’t say anything about it if they haven’t tasted it themselves.

Second item in the iFM comfort room was when Angelica asked if what the listeners would choose? “manggaranon nga di mo palangga ukon pigado nga palangga mo gid ka ayo?” she asked. Callers were quick to give their answers and most of them were practical and said they would choose the rich one, even if you don’t love the person for they said love can be learned and developed.

Jc brought up the third topic, she is supposed to marry a guy from Cadiz City on Friday, August 8, 2008. Problem is, the guy died when tropical storm Frank hit the whole country
last June of this year, he was then on board in one of the fishing boats who went to sea
while the storm was in it’s strongest, he wasn’t able to survive and his decomposing body was found in one of the shorelines in Ilo-ilo. After almost two months Jc the girl friend still couldn’t forget the tragedy that happened. She solicited advices from the listeners on how she’ll be able to forget her fallen boyfriend.

Callers came to the rescue, some said indulge in worthwhile activities for her to be busy at all times, attend counseling, and offer prayers for him. Stanley was again quick to add that she should watch out on Friday the date of their wedding, as the boyfriend will come knocking at her door in the middle of the night wearing his barong. “hehehe Stan jokingly said”

The iFM comfort room today was once again full of fun and laughter as hosts Cocoy and Stanley talked to the callers while munching a mouthful of Mister Donuts and from time to time asked for drinks from their sponsor. Don’t miss iFM comfort room every 1 – 3pm. Make sure to have a stomach stabilizer though, for you’ll experience laughter all the way. Pwede!

Monday on iFM comfort room. Cocoy and Stanley started the program clamoring about the very hot weather, although the northern part of the country is being bombarded with heavy rains brought about by typhoon Julian. The hosts suggested to drink plenty of water or fruit juices in order to replace all the water we perspire and to stay hydrated.

Everyone’s attention was stirred when Rey started narrating his story. He’s 5’9” tall, a point guard for a college basketball team. “I have a best friend in the team, his name is Vince a point guard too, pareho kami nga 5’9” he continued.
“Problema ko kay naga dugay kami updanay ga ka develop ang feelings ko sa iya”
Laughter all throughout Bacolod, and the rest of the province was heard when he uttered that statement. Cocoy and Stanley couldn’t hold their shocked selves when they heard that from a mucho sounding basketball player. “closet queen ka man gali pareho sa amon” they exclaimed!

He said he is keeping his secret from him and from the rest of the team for it is going to be a very big shame for the school he is playing for. “gusto ko gid gani permi kun magpraktis kami ako gid ma bantay sa iya kay para ma feel ko gid mga muscles niya kag ang iya ka hamot” he said. “ kun tapos namon praktis kag mag shower kami, ginahulat ko gid nga maghabon na siya sang guya niya kag indi na siya ka kita tapos gina busog ko ang mata ko sa iya pagkalalaki” another burst of hilarity from the hosts followed after that remarks. “ I can’t hold it anymore daw gusto ko na gid ipa utwas ang nabatyagan ko sa iya galing kulbaan ko para sa team kag sa school kay mahuy an gid” he said, then he ask for advice if he’s going to tell Vince all that he felt or keep it to himself.

Majority of the callers suggested that Rey will continue hiding his feelings and wait for the right time, few of them said though, that Rey tells Vince frankly all that he felt for him and if he is really a bestfriend he will understand. Rey should be aware of the consequences that will occur after telling the guy, for he will either accept it or reject it.

Before the show ended Cocoy asked “paano mabal an kun may gago sa bulangan?” “wala ko kabalo ah” Stanley answered. “kun may nagdala pato sa sulod bulangan eh” Cocoy answered. “mabal an mo kun may sindikato sa bulangan kun magda ug ang pato” “ma bal an mo pa gid kun may gago gago pagid sa bulangan kun may nag pusta sa pato!” Cocoy continued. Stanley begged for Cocoy’s mercy “tsakto na na coy kay ga sakit na tyan ko sang kadlaw” he said.

Ifm comfort room will surely open your tired eyes and won’t make you sleep in the afternoon. Catch more of Cocoy and Stanley’s antics every 1 to 3 pm daily on iFM 94.3’s comfort room. Pwede!

A very unforgettable episode of iFM comfort room hit the airwaves this hot Friday August 1, 2008, the program started with, a greetings from the hosts of the show as Cocoy announced that Stanley is celebrating his 30th birthday. Stanley was jubilant and animated, as shortly after their first adlib, the beautiful Tita Susan Mahinay and Tito Nonoy Mahinay entered the booth together with their bodyguard carrying a tube of Mahinay ice cream’s special avocado flavored product coupled with Tita Susan’s native Valencia and cake with a lighted candle.

Stanley could not bare the happiness he felt for according to him this is the first time in 23 years that he celebrated his big day with a cake, “the last time I had a cake on my birthday was when I was only seven years old” the birthday boy happily said on air. Cocoy showed his singing prowess as he led the group inside the booth and the listeners in the singing of the birthday song, shortly after singing Stanley made a silent wish and blew the blue lighted candle on the cake.

At around 1:34 pm a guy named dodoy popped in and told the hosts he’s been waiting outside for 30th minutes to tell everyone his purpose in coming to the program. “I work as an attendant in one of the hardware stores at the downtown area” he narrated, “All of the employees of the said hardware occupy’s a house in Brgy. Banago” he continues. He told the hosts that he has a crush on one of the girl employees, “let’s hid her identity by the name Rica”, he shamefully exclaimed. One morning when every in their staff house had already taken a bath and all set to be fetch by their company’s van, he came close to Rica and unfortunately she didn’t smell that good, and dodoy found out that the awful smell came from his girl’s armpit. Cocoy and Stanley ask dodoy how sure were you that the unpleasant ripe guava smell comes from her armpit? He replied I’m 100% sure!

Turn off was the initial feeling that dodoy felt, but it came from the girl he’s falling in love with. He’s been hearing his co-employees talking about the very bad smell that comes from Rica. He wants to help his girl badly.

Callers came out smokin’ right away iFM’s number was flamin’ hot. Some suggested that dodoy will surprise Rica with a bagful of toiletries that includes the most powerful deodorant. “He should tell the girl frankly for her to realize her faults when it comes to her hygiene”, they repeatedly said. Cocoy jokingly suggested two options; “ hambala siya bala either gwapa ka pero baho okon baho ka pero gwapa” Boisterous laughter filled the booth again with Cocoy’s remarks. A texter said “tsakto nana bala pakadlaw sa akon kay ari ko di sa hospital ga pa dialysis, indi mag insakto ang akon check up kay ga sige ko kadlaw”.

This afternoon’s iFM comfort room was full of hilarity. Humorous punch lines from the hosts rained during the program. It was definitely an unforgettable experience tuning in to this afternoon’s program. Happening daily from 1-3 pm .Go go go Team iFM! Pwede!

Thursday, July 31, 2008

Thursday , last day of July on iFM comfort room, hosts Cocoy and Stanley started the program by reading a hand in letter from a high school student whose name is Jay. He’s in his 4th year now and said that he has a very low self confidence and super low self esteem. Jay’s problem is his hair! He said that even when he was only in elementary he already have this feeling that in a short time he’s going to be bald. Now, his classmates and even his schoolmates are calling him names such as “tatay” “ wanggo” “panot” names that he doesn’t want to be called.

Because of this he lost his confidence to even court his crush in school for she might turn him down. Callers of the program suggested that “pakalbo ka na lang gid” others said don’t be affected by these people, concentrate on whatever you’re into. Cocoy even said “tanom ka aloe vera kag ipamanyos sa buhok mo.
The afternoon made a 360 degree turn though, when a caller named July called up and shared a problem. She’s an attendant in a store in Baranggay Bata, they have a customer named tata. She’s is 28 years old with two children the youngest is only eight months, her husband works as an inspector in the south for Ceres Liner, she said she doesn’t love her husband anymore that for three months after she gave birth they never had sex. Because her husband is seldom here, she enjoys joy riding with her jeepney driver friends. A friend of hers though impregnated her, and on the way for three months now. She’s not planning to tell this to her husband and worst is, she is aborting the baby.
Shortly after July had told the host about the problem, barrage of callers were very eager to air their piece. Majority of them called tata “catolon” , burst of laughter fills the air every time they say this. A caller even caught the hosts off-guard when she repeatedly said “ daw gaga gid sya ya, bal an ya may bana na sya joy ride pa sya sa iban?” of course Cocoy and Stanley were fast enough to wash their hands with what the caller just said, saying “ wala kami to ya ka hambal ha, caller to ya”.
Condemning abortion is the firm stand of the iFM comfort room hosts, a lot of callers had their blood pressure checked shortly after giving their advice, “kailinit sa iya is the word they said to tata”
It was a laughter filled afternoon again in this Thursday episode of iFM comfort room as Cocoy announced on the air that team iFM is accepting food donations for Stanley’s birthday on Friday. 4345082 is the number to dial if you want to join Stanley and Cocoy in their daily afternoon program Pwede!....
