Wednesday the 30th of July on iFM comfort room. Hosts Cocoy and Stanley talked about a seaman’s wife problem, Claire, the seaman’s wife wrote, she and her husband James got married last December 18, they had their honeymoon in Boracay , she’s pregnant for 8 months now her husband left her for work last march of this year, they constantly communicate through phone only. Just this Monday while enjoying a walk at the city’s downtown, she met a former companion of her husband; she was surprise with the greeting’s of the friend. “sin o na ang tatay sang gina busong mo subong? Wala kamo gali nag dayunay ni james? Ato ho nakita ko siya sg nagligad nga semana sa manila upod sa bag o naman niya nga girlfriend” Claire wasn’t able to reply with the remarks she heard. She called up her husband and he told her that he’s already in Japan that she wasn’t able to send money for they got stranded in their Singapore office. Claire is in limbo in the situation that she’s in. She’s experiencing stress and sleepless nights thinking about the true whereabouts of her husband. iFM comfort room got around 15 callers and majority of them suggested that Claire should call up her husband’s agency and verify if he had already left the country. Others said, seek the help of her kin to locate and verify the veracity of what her husband is telling her. Claire has another problem, her savings is slowly depleting. Cocoy jokingly said that he has lots of experiences with seamen, that whenever seamen go abroad they leave their atm with their girlfriend, that their mothers, when they ask for their allotment they have to ask it from their son’s girlfriend… it was an enjoyable moment in today’s comfort room. Because ifm comfort room is based on true stories of life, they put on air Manang Nenet a kakanin vendor who at the time entered the booth to sell her stuffs . She told the hosts how difficult life for her, she had to wake up early in the morning to attend to her three children under her care. Her husband is a fisherman; his small income cannot support the family’s needs, that is the reason why manang nenet decided to earn on her own to help in the family’s daily expenses. Manang nenet was shedding tears while she was telling the host her true to life story. It was truly a big moment in today’s iFM comfort room, however serious the problems are Cocoy and Stanley are there to crack some jokes and share their comedic sides. iFM comfort room happens Monday to Friday 1-3 pm.
